Join Our Team: Youth Programs & Planning Internship Now Available
The Youth Programs & Planning internship is perfect for a recent college graduate, current student, community food systems advocate, or child nutrition advocate. You’ll gain valuable experience, leadership, and facilitation skills that will increase your employment opportunities, such as proficiency in community organizing, team development, and grant writing basics.
The Youth Programs and Planning intern will be part of our Programs and Development Team. They will be responsible for helping with content creation, community projects, program planning, and grant proposals. Ultimately, the youth programs & planning internship will help MF2SN expand our network and streamline new and innovative programs centered on community health and equity. A monthly stipend will be issued.
Programs & Planning Intern Duties and Responsibilities:
Correspondence with statewide schools and local partners
Contribute innovative ideas and feedback for grant processing
Strengthen statewide policy tracking and projects related to equity and food systems.
Assist with outreach and promotional efforts, including social media
Minimum 10 Hours/month
Youth Programs & Planning Internship Requirements
General understanding of Mississippi’s local landscape and challenges facing Mississippians in various food system sectors.
General computer skills with experience using Google and/or Microsoft Suite
Time management Skills
Teamwork and Communication Skills
Attend meetings with an open mind and willingness to learn
Location: Remote (Must live in Mississippi)
Paid Term: 5 Months - $500 at the end of each month
