2023-2024 Mississippi Farm to School Ambassador Program

The Mississippi Farm to School Network invites K-12 students to participate in the 2023-2024 Mississippi Farm to School Ambassador Program.

The Mississippi Farm to School Network is pleased to announce the launch of the 2023-2024 Mississippi Farm to School Ambassador Program for K-12 students. This program aims to empower young individuals who share a passion for promoting locally grown, nutritious foods and strengthening the local agricultural economy in alignment with the Mississippi Farm to School Network's mission.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend virtual gatherings to learn more about farm to school, volunteer at events, share agriculture, gardening, and nutrition resources with their peers and school staff, and more. Through these activities, they can earn credit or community service hours (if applicable), swag, and even lead a club or ag-based program at their school.

The Mississippi Farm to School Network is thrilled to partner with young leaders eager to positively impact their communities by growing, learning, and inspiring together. Join a community of like-minded individuals and the Mississippi Farm to School Network in this exciting new initiative to cultivate a healthier future, connect with nature, and champion sustainable food systems throughout our state.

Sign-ups are ongoing throughout the school year. Meet & Learn Virtual Meetings will occur twice a month, on the first Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and two weeks later on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The meetings will start on Thu Nov 2, 2023, and continue until Thu May 2, 2024, on every scheduled date. If you have any questions or are unsure if this program is right for you or your child, we invite you to reach out. Don't miss out on collaborating with others to create a better future for our communities and ourselves!
